Kinda interesting how people are suddenly concerned with not having enough public transit when rail service is mentioned even though we’re married to parking garages in every other instance. Airports? Parking garage. Park downtown? Parking garage. Train station? MUST. WALK.

Been playing a fuckton of OpenTTD lately. This game is running the City Builder script, and this is one of my feeder cities + a steel mill that sees frequent long haul traffic coming in from across the entire map (playing on 1024x1024). Absurdly fun game.

You can always do more of a sandbox type "model railway" build too. Here we have the metro area of the western half of the biggest city on the island of Harkoff, which is home to 3 electrified commuter rail lines, two elevated third rail metro lines, and 3 busy intercity lines.

I love how CNN releases obvious bullshit sensationary stories at all times but when they do just that about climate science everyone just goes into panic mode. Climate change is real, but CNN is just trying to make money off your clicks.

The United States and Canada agreed in 2019 to put into practice procedures to help the trains get across the border quicker. The goal was to create a commuter train service between Western NY and Toronto. Chuck Schumer Amtrak wkbw.com/news/wny-devel…

You hear this all the time. Data: in FY18, the Capitol Limited carried 219,003 riders. Divided by 365 days = 600 riders/day, divided by 2 (one train each direction) = 300. Average seating capacity is 304. So, it sells just about every seat on every trip. There's not enough trains

Video: Good morning from NoMa in DC, where Acela #2104, the northbound 8:00 am departure from Union Station picks up speed heading out, while a MARC consist is repositioned and an outbound Red Line train to Glenmont arrives at NoMa-Gallaudet station (I still know it as NY Ave)

Haven’t used this account for awhile but I’m here to say that a) the US flag on the car is just unnecessary as the entire thing looks like windows 98 but make it ‘Merica b) the guy she tells you not to worry about
