In the past, phrases like “committed suicide” have been used, but they often carry negative connotations today. Instead, we can say someone “died by suicide”. This shift in language recognizes the deep struggles these individuals faced, offering understanding rather than blame.

Children often find it hard to express their feelings about grief and trauma with words alone. Engaging in play allows them to communicate their emotions in a safe and creative way.
