MPs supporting this Bill need to know what it actually does - and answer these questions with their votes tomorrow. I'm sorry to say too many MPs are still relying on their abstract support for Assisted Dying rather than engaging with the detail of the actual Bill before us.

All this at stake tomorrow… the Bill as it stands is not fit for purpose. It’s not safe and is a liability for so many vulnerable people who are not adequately protected.

Oh, but we do know what's driving prosecutions. In 2020, we started allowing women to perform their own abortions at home without an in-person appointment to verify gestational age. Women then started using pills to have abortions after the legal limit.

On my way back to London for the Assisted Dying bill. I can see a libertarian case for the bill, but not a liberal one. Liberals know that our rights must not be at the expense of others losing theirs. Given 47% of Oregon AD deaths were self-coercion, it fails the liberal test.
