Destroyed ORI #137. Really enjoying this collection from James Merrill

ORI has a new way of making generative forms that's loosely based on origami. I treat geometry like pieces of paper and crease and fold them. Not all physical laws are obeyed, though, and the algorithm quickly loses realism and creates impossible shapes.

Another day. Another destroyed ORI. I love the animation that @0xBankrun put together for this one! It reminds me of rainfall washing away a chalk drawing.

Now that ORI is live, let's dive into the origins of the project. This'll also establish some clear provenance for those interested. In mid-December 2021 the first commit was made to my Github repo. By January 4th I had already created the paper folding algorithm. 1/5

ORI currently has 212 commits, and Ive been adding more as I finish the vector renderer and animation studio. There are 6113 LOC in the final release before the minification. 5/5
