The Newton girls basketball team is 3-0 for the first time since 2015. Cardinals will have their biggest test yet on Friday at Indianola. #iahsbkb

Tori White won the 100 hurdles (16.42) and 400 hurdles (1:13.41), Ellie DeVries tied for 1st in high jump (4-6) and Abby Bruce won the LJ (15-6 1/4). Newton was 1-2 in the 100 with Winther and Lola Rivera and 1-3 in the 400 hurdles with White and Mack Sims.

Newton's Tori White won the 100 hurdles in 15.74 tonight at Oskaloosa. And the Newton girls went 1:08.13 in the shuttle hurdle relay. That group also featured Macy Lampe, Mack Sims and Camryn Klein. #iahstrk

15.74 from White in the 100 hurdles is now 2nd in the state, according to times posted to Bound.

White and Baxter's Camryn Russell are currently inside the top 32 of the Drake Relays qualifying for the 100 hurdles. Times and placings are fluid as we get closer to next week's cut off date.

I did not get all of the results tweeted out from tonight in Grinnell. Here's the rest of them. Tori White 1st in backstroke in 1:04.20. Newton took 1st in the 400 freestyle relay with Harper Barton-White-Temple Barton-Reid McCloud. #iahsswim

Newton girls swim downed Perry 88-74 tonight. Freshman Reid McCloud did not swim. Harper Barton won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, Alexa Van Maanen won the 200 IM and Tori White won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. The Cards also won both freestyle relays. #iahsswim

The Newton girls swim team placed 2nd at the Ankeny quad. The Hawks used a deeper roster to win at home, but Newton had a 7-5 advantage in victories. Harper Barton, Tori White both part of 3 wins. Reid McCloud won the 500 freestyle and Alexa Van Maanen won the 100 breaststroke.
