A positive feeling about Bexley Labour's prospective new member. I feel bad about some local activist unrewarded for working for Khan and Starmer this year, but intelligence and work ethic that got Jeremy Fosten 🌹 into Durham will be very useful on the weak red bench.
For the record, Daniel Francis's offer to discuss his work in person had expired by Aug 31, 2024. I guess we will never know what goodies Belvedere and Bexley residents received in exchange for the over £200,000 paid to the councillor over the years.
Was it the recent criticism of Daniel Francis, the mention of Bexley Labour's multi-landlord in the context of the Jas Athwal MP scandal, or both?
One of the things that's wrong with Bexley Labour: residents of richer, Tory-dominated south of Bexley "representing" the poor, Labour-leaning north. Here, you have 3 Sidcup residents visiting their constituents in Slade Green.
Quickly, before Cllr Simon Fawthrop is awoken! Tony of Sidcup visits Petts Wood for the first time.
The Frankensign of Sidcup High Street. (Complete with grass growing through the pavement. Apparently, London Borough of Bexley has been "investigating" it since July 11).
... but if the Labour MP does something good, I have no problem praising it. Daniel Francis attended tonight's Bexley MPS SNT meeting, and was unafraid to talk to (or even challenge) the audience's #2 scandalist.
