Just over 50,000 people have now been killed in Gaza: 2.1% of the pre-war population of 2.3 million. That’s one person in every 46. The figures come from Gaza’s ministry of health, which is partly run by Hamas, but most international organisations accept them as accurate.

Horrific reports from Gaza: more health workers, ambulances, hospitals attacked as they try to save survivors. We all must demand that hospitals and medics not be targeted.

A group of settlers just lynched Hamdan Ballal, co director of our film no other land. They beat him and he has injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called, and took him. No sign of him since.

The UN estimates 2.3 million tons of Gaza's rubble could be contaminated with asbestos. The mineral, once widely-used in building materials, releases toxic fibres into the air when disturbed that can cling to the lungs and - over decades - cause cancer. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
