Just over 50,000 people have now been killed in Gaza: 2.1% of the pre-war population of 2.3 million. That’s one person in every 46. The figures come from Gaza’s ministry of health, which is partly run by Hamas, but most international organisations accept them as accurate.

Horrific reports from Gaza: more health workers, ambulances, hospitals attacked as they try to save survivors. We all must demand that hospitals and medics not be targeted.

A group of settlers just lynched Hamdan Ballal, co director of our film no other land. They beat him and he has injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called, and took him. No sign of him since.

Hamdan has been released and is currently in the hospital in Hebron receiving treatment. He was beaten by soldiers and settlers all over his body. The soldiers left him blindfolded and handcuffed throughout of military base last night.
