I'm around 38 minutes into the convo between Curt Jaimungal and Eric Weinstein and I'm grasping maybe, MAAAAYBE 8% of it, but 38 minutes into this and I'm tearing up seeing Eric finally getting his flowers from a serious individual who has an energy of a happy intellectual sponge

Someone said "energy is just capacity to do work." Nope. Doesn't work (to be punny). Classical work relies on a background spacetime that doesn't curve dynamically. Also, usually (always?) some globally well-defined coordinate system (like time and Euclidean space).
