The idea that because something is a social construct it is therefore moot is a dangerous idea. Those constructs exist for a reason, tearing them down means you'll have to take years to learn the wisdom your ancestors handed you on a platter.

People respond to incentives and in Nigeria we're constantly incentivizing bad behavior. If the organizers create/allow conditions that reward your ability to grab as much as you can, people will respond accordingly. It's why things were different in Abuja.
