Our IPS 4th graders were thrilled to see their artwork displayed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in downtown, Cleveland this morning! There mural is hanging in the bottom floor area for thousands of visitors to see!

I’m excited about this new opportunity! While I will miss IPS, I have the opportunity to remain connected to this community that I’ve grown so fond of over the past six years.

Another wonderful example of the City of Independence Ohio and IndependenceSchools collaborating for the business expo. It was a great day with over 50 exhibits and multiple opportunities to highlight local businesses. IPS choir and drama performed and student artwork was highlighted.

Yesterday the PreK-12 math group met to discuss upcoming math curriculum adoptions. We started by reviewing the NAEP math data to look at trends both nationally and in Independence. A focus on mathematical practices is at the top of our list as we look at resources!
