So very proud of Tal Mitnick, the son of my friend from college, Josh Mitnick (may his memory be a blessing). Per this article he is the first refusenik of the war on Gaza. He’s going to jail on Tuesday. May there be 1000s who take inspiration from his bravery.

Oh yeah it's those Buddhists and Muslims who are always threatening people with Hell. Christians don't believe in all that.

Morning 3 of kratom withdrawal was probably the worst so far, if only because it's getting better slower than I'd hoped. Quitting is the right call for me today, but starting was the right call for me back when, out of several bad options.

Some of those settlers are settler's kids. Fuck everybody who flew over there, but Palestinians need internal dissonance in the Israeli population. Getting into the business of condemning anyone for their birthplace alone is always counterproductive to peace.

The people born there should become stateless refugees? They can kill themselves for all you care, basically. Which is an understandable view, but not one you're going to sell to many second-generation colonizers.

KarmaPolice🇵🇸 I support your liberation and the dissolution of Israel. I just think "the genocide and apartheid must end" are easier sells to the intl. community than "we want to make 5 year olds into stateless refugees." Don't lead with your fucking balls.

Hamas celebrator 🇵🇸 🔻 I want this genocide to be forced to an end. I support violence as a means to end greater violence. I think it's stupid and counterproductive to call for the ethnic cleansing of an enemy you're not in a position to cleanse. That's not going to win my mom over.

A lot of traffic on a not-very-popular take of mine. Let me be clear: I support Hamas in its struggle against the Israeli occupiers. I also think there are messages that help the war effort when they go wide, and "we need to ethnically cleanse them back" is not one.

Differentiate between nations and people - even if the people are 95% brainwashed monsters. It's an important distinction. People notice if you make it.

Israeli settlers and westerners equate the disillusion of Israel with their own ethnic cleansing because that's how they would do it. These groups literally have to be told that political restructuring need not entail their murder. Existing culture stokes that fear.

A. V. Dremel 🔻 Vineta Király (COVID negative edition) We don't make or do anything useful anymore so we have to spend all our money on military to keep people using our dollar. That's the whole mission statement of our country now, right?

tinsdale (@tinsdale55) 's Twitter Profile Photo

La🔻 Amanda Gelender🔮 We need to give people their houses back, but the fear being stoked is that whites or Jews or whatever group will be exterminated, or swapped into the underclass themselves. All our propaganda pushes that idea: the dismantling of a nation entails the killing of its people.

It's not about messaging, it's about retaining your humanity. If I believed, as many do, that Hamas really was going to spit-roast some babies, Israel's claim of self-defense would seem valid, regardless of history. They shit the whole bed when they had kids there. It's a mess.

Good intentions are worth jack shit, but there is a reasoning behind my opinions. I think there's a 2% chance that center voting block Dems love actually matters, could disrupt the flow of bombs if they were approached right. Others find this delusional, I know.

tinsdale (@tinsdale55) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I've been centering the perspective of the colonizer because I think one should know their enemies, and there are scant [legal] options to stop this. I'm learning and growing (haha, really) out of that mindset, and it's a slow process some places. I hope yelling was cathartic.

I got called the L-slur the other day; I don't know that the electorate's opinion is *completely* irrelevant. Normie grandma may not be a revolutionary, but her spitting in Biden's face could be the turning point, 0.001% chance. It's clear we must do something. Unclear what
