We never bought brand name—food, cloths, shoes—only knock offs. I saved for Doc Martian’s & stumbled upon a pair at 2nd hand shop where we bought most our clothes (when decidedly not cool to buy 2nd hand). Got made fun of for wearing shoes b/c no one of believed they were real.

I love them.

Where I’m at in life: 1. I lost the house I’ve been trying to buy for a year. 2. I miss my cat. A lot. 3. My crap is packed up to move into storage for a month+. 4. I’ve no idea where I’m going to live when I come back into Miami. In general: feeling defeated & deflated.

It’s been 6 weeks since I let Tai go. Today, I feel like it was just minutes ago.

I’m having dreams where I can’t find Tai and when I do, he walks off and disappears again. I follow him but I can’t find him. At least he looks healthy and can walk in these dreams. 😐

So… in a year I’ve gone from almost buying a 2-bedroom house with a big back yard in a quiet pocket neighborhood to considering a 1-bedroom condo in a some-what dodgy neighborhood. Miami can go f**k itself.

Because my insurance covers one of the other but not both simultaneously, so I’d have to pay out of pocket for one. Glasses are the more cost effective choice.

So… I work at a college. We’re back on campus (as are most colleges) and we have a masking policy which is basically masks on if you’re inside. Except in @Dunkindonuts where both students and staff have taken “optional” approach. 🙃😬😵‍💫
