Caleb and Savanah headed off to prom. Hope they have a great night together. Time needs to slow down, it’s going by way too fast.

God, hold us to that which drew us first, when the Cross of Christ was the attraction, and we wanted nothing else. Amy Carmichael

He took my sins and my sorrows He made them his very own He bore the burden to Calvary He suffered and died alone How marvelous, how wonderful And my song shall ever be How marvelous, how wonderful Is my Saviour's love for me! Thank you Jesus for Good Friday!

The Saturday between Good Friday and Easter is a reminder to us that even when God seems silent, and hope seems lost, that God is still working and that everything changes when Jesus shows up!

People do not need gimmicks on Easter Sunday, they need the gospel! Let’s give them exposition over entertainment, Jesus over junk.

My parents warned me about peer pressure in my teens but I didn’t know I would still face it in my mid 40s. After convincing myself I wasn’t going to mow the lawn today, both my neighbors immediately began to mow theirs. I knew then what I had to do. Well played boys.

The IMB sending ceremony is a yearly reminder to me of why I am a Southern Baptist. The gospel to the nations is why we do what we do. May we keep the main thing the main thing! #sbc2025 #SBC25

Proud parent moment. Listening Emma share with our church about her mission trip that she took to North Africa in May. Thankful for her willingness to go to the nations!

Our greatest desire for our kids has always been that they would follow after Christ. We are excited to say that this past week Caleb repented of his sins and put his faith in Christ. We are so proud of him. God is good!

Are you ever just overwhelmed with the goodness of God? In my office getting ready to preach the word, gather with the saints, serve the Lord’s supper and baptize my son, Caleb and just amazed at God’s goodness. I am a testimony of the goodness of the Lord!

Our hearts are heavy, yet rejoicing, as we share the news that our beloved pastor and teacher John MacArthur has entered into the presence of the Savior. This evening, his faith became sight. He faithfully endured until his race was run. 2 Timothy 4:1-8

Emma left today for Tuscaloosa to go back for another year at the University of Alabama and it never gets easy. I find myself sad that she is gone and yet excited for her as she continues to grow and flourish in life. Above all I just love being her dad.
