Charlie Kirk visited the Oxford and Cambridge Unions when in Britain earlier this year. Both are temples to debate and free speech, fundamental tenets of democracy, to which Charlie Kirk dedicated his life. This idiot believes in neither. He doesn’t belong anywhere near them.

Two former Prime Ministers, Theresa May and Gordon Brown, are right. This is a bad Bill. Care and kill are not interchangeable. We need dignity in dying through comprehensive palliative care not lethal injections from doctors. This Bill will lead to coercion, to the economic duty

Two thirds of people under the age of 40 don’t even know what the Battle of Britain is. It’s the result of allowing our history, heroes, flags, and culture to be sneered at and neglected. Enough. We are a great country and should always be proud of our history.

Today marks 13 years since our colleagues, PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes, were tragically killed whilst on duty. An annual memorial will take place within the memorial garden at #Hyde Police Station, to pay our respects and remember our brave officers. #NeverForgotten

Two weeks today since the London bus crash. Overwhelmed by kindness and messages. Slowly healing, but the break in my back will take longer. Hope the other passengers and driver are also on the mend. TFL tell me an Inquiry into the cause of the accident is underway.

This is the speech I would have given in UK Parliament against assisted suicide. House of Lords must resist the drum beat of euthanasia demanding, instead, world class comprehensive palliative and hospice care. youtube.com/live/QliL4CGc7… -and

Across two days of debate in House of Lords it is reported that of the 161 Peers who spoke, 96 were against the Bill and just 53 spoke in favour. A further 12 were undecided. This is no basis for UK Parliament to put a new law onto the Statute Books - especially one that will

#DPRK: the situation is one of the most chronic & longstanding human rights crises in the world. A change of course is urgently needed to avoid another decade of suffering. My report to UN Human Rights Council | #HRC60 calls for reform & accountability, as well as support for victims.

An intense trip to Geneva to speak at the 60th UN Human Rights Council | #HRC60 on #NorthKorea. Facing the NK delegation and their cold, murderous stares was a chilling experience. Many authoritarian regimes defended the DPRK’s crimes against humanity - sadly, not a surprise. UN Human Rights #HRC60
