If you have seen our list of 76 articles demonstrating gender and/or racial bias in student evaluations - you will love this! I've just posted summaries for 75% of the articles. Summaries cover main findings, and are generally more precise than abstracts. rebeccakreitzer.com/summaries-of-r…

When haters go after your looks and differences, it means they have nowhere left to go. And then you know you’re winning! I have Aspergers and that means I’m sometimes a bit different from the norm. And - given the right circumstances- being different is a superpower. #aspiepower

I hate that any pants I wear which are actually comfortable are traditionally given a ‘negative’ adjective before them: granny pants, period pants, comfy pants. Men just say pants. I think women should too. Also VPL. Men also don’t give a shit about that.

Why, when and how men rape: A study in South Africa among men aged 18-49 finds 27.6% have raped a woman. Most were motivated by sexual entitlement, also boredom & ‘entertainment’, & as punishment against girlfriends and other women. Most had first raped girls/women as teenagers.

Taking my son to settling-in session at his nursery today. Son: Daddy can I go by myself? Me: Well, I'm coming today to make sure you settle in OK. Son: I went to preschool by myself. Me: Yes but this is a new school. Son: I want to go by myself. Me: PLEASE LET ME COME! 😫

What proportion of US men in college / university have used sexual violence against a woman? Recent studies find proportions anywhere from e.g. 1.6% in the last year to 25% by the end of 4th year in college. Some studies assess lifetime perpetration, finding rates of 10.8 to 51%.

If a woman did nothing else except save the average gap in weekly earnings between men and women, $241.50, in just 15 years she would easily have more cash than the average Australian woman retires with. My ⁦The Sydney Morning Herald⁩ column. smh.com.au/money/super-an…

Wonderful feedback at my last workshop: "I have a full understanding of what feminism is now and would not be threatened to have a conversation with someone about it." #EmpowerPeople #InspireChange #Solidarity #GenderEquality

Reading Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Perez ... such incredible facts prestened in a straight forward way with a clear voice. It's changing the way I see so many aspects of our built environments. It's f***ing AMAZING! Thank you for writing it!
