Sometimes I tweet nonsense, sometimes I tweet about healthcare nonsense. Mostly it’s just ordinary nonsense...

There is simply no greater opportunity for massive savings from waste, fraud and abuse (WFA) than #MedicareAdvantage. Don’t take my word for it Department of Government Efficiency —read the OIG at HHS & The Wall Street Journal reports on the extent of WFA in MA. While everyone is talking about PBM’s, and physicians pay I’d be remiss to not remind y’all that over 40% of DME providers in the US have gone out of business since 2013 as a result of government oversight. 1 year of home oxygen therapy is cheaper than 1 night in a hospital.

The @delta method of pouring half a soft drink into an empty glass then topping with ice is the superior way to ice carbonated beverages. I will not be taking any questions.

The biggest issue facing America today is the slow phase out of Diet Coke for Coke Zero in my local fast food establishments.

With all this talk of UHC and potential fraud in the Medicare Advantage space, it’s worth mentioning they are continuing to expand all their MA business in the DME sector to a startup “subcontracting/outsourcing” company called Synapse. 🤔🤔🤔

Listened to a Bari Weiss debate re: the future of truth under AI and not a single panelist acknowledged the fact that future AI may not want to help us… As the kids say, “we are cooked”.

Cool. Glad to see CMSGov doubling/tripling down on an already proven failed program that has decimated home medical equipment over the past decade.

The more I read this the madder I get. This list of names reads like a B-list action movie. The damage done with Comp Bidding and the subsequent open season post Covid has led us here. The MACs and CMSGov need to review all provider numbers issued in the last 36 months.

A fair price? Award winning economists have been telling us for years current prices were unsustainable. This was before runaway inflation post Covid. Not to mention the last time prices went in favor of providers CMSGov suspended the program. Providers have to bid reality

I recently got this letter from our pediatrician about UnitedHealthcare. If this can happen to me it can happen to everyone, and that’s why it’s wrong.
