Congratulations to Dr. Chrysalyne Schmults for receiving a R03 grant, “Early investigation of the role of desmoplastic fibrosis in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma,” from NCI. #Desmoplasia is associated with poor outcomes for these patients but the mechanism is unknown. National Cancer Institute

Congratulations to Dr. Allen Ho for being awarded a K08 award from the NIH! “Mechanisms of IL-23 receptor-mediated pathogenicity in CD4+ T cells” will investigate how immune cells respond to inflammatory signals in cutaneous lupus and develop targeted therapies.
