I had an inspiring day yesterday at Smith Institute's TakeAIM 2025 Awards. It was an honour to be named a finalist alongside such fantastic research in mathematics and data science. Congratulations to the winner and all involved!

👏 Congratulations to Joshua Bull from the Mathematical Institute. Dr Josh Bull has been shortlisted for the 2025 Vice-Chancellor’s Awards in the Breakthrough Researcher Award category for his work analysing large spatially resolved data.

Brilliant PGR Talk yesterday to wrap up the academic year by Matthew Howells on "The Travelling Swiftie Problem (Taylor's Version)". A unique and engaging way to introduce the travelling salesman problem and routing optimisation. Well done, Matthew 👏

I do love the EXIT: the game series. So much so, I’ve kept all the boxes to remind me of all their wonderful puzzles. Sadly, the time has come for them to meet the great paper recycler in the sky. Thames & Kosmos Kosmos Games UK
