If you’re struggling to stay positive, you’re not alone, especially this past year & a half. While we’re constantly bombarded with messages from social media, friends, and family that tell us to “just look at the bright side”, it’s not easy, and discounts valid emotions.

Although adulthood comes with plenty of responsibilities we can’t opt out of, being in control of our decisions is a huge marker of officially becoming an adult. Doing things that allow you to feel safe, joyful, & fulfilled is not a *want*, but a *need*. You’re entitled to it.

Saving money does *not* mean your life needs to be rigidly planned/miserable. While it may not always feel great short term — especially if you don’t have an abundance of it — it will eventually provide freedom, flexibility, & security. And these are things we *all* deserve ✨.

If you just keep doing, you will burn out and grind to a halt. Build downtime into your schedule just as you would make time for all the other stuff that needs to get done. #principleoftheday

Much like my startup vacation/retirement in 2015, I’m now asking myself across the board: what can I categorically and completely remove, even temporarily, to create space for seeing the bigger picture and finding gems? tim.blog/2020/01/20/one…

Reminder that your identity and your worth are NOT your job. Jobs come and go, titles are cheap, and your employer is not your family. Remember who you are and stop tying your value to a line on your resume.
