In 36 days on March 22, the S.C.C. will be inducting the 2024 class of the James Francis Byrnes Society of Student Leaders. As a lead up to this day, we will take a look back and honor the second of our five 2023 inductees Kaliyah Hicks of Irmo.

In 33 days on March 22, the S.C.C. will be inducting the 2024 class of the James Francis Byrnes Society of Student Leaders. As a lead up to this day, we will take a look back and honor the third of our five 2023 inductees Blair Hill-Lee of Silver Bluff.

In 30 days on March 22, the S.C.C. will be inducting the 2024 class of the James Francis Byrnes Society of Student Leaders. As a lead up to this day, we will take a look back and honor the fourth of our five 2023 inductees Kayla Mathis of White Knoll.

In 28 days on March 22, the S.C.C. will be inducting the 2024 class of the James Francis Byrnes Society of Student Leaders. As a lead up to this day, we will take a look back and honor the fifth and final of our 2023 inductees Tucker Samaha of Aiken.

The Student Council Coalition would like to thank 2023 Byrnes recipient Kayla Mathis for volunteering to help pack the delegate bags for the 2024 SCC Exchange. Looking forward to an eventful two days on March 21st and 22nd.

It has been one month since the conclusion of the 2024 S.C.C. Exchange. We hope ideas learned are being implemented at members schools. Over the next few days we will be posting pictures from the exchange.

The Student Council Coalition would like to give our sincere appreciation to Susan Wessinger Helton of Lexington who once again provided our floral arrangements for this year's SCC Awards Luncheon held at the end of the 2024 SCC Exchange.

Two weeks ago on June 28, the Student Council Coalition hosted the 4th Annual S.C.C. Leadership Institute at the Russell House on the campus of the University of South Carolina. We welcomed 13 student leaders who studied what it means to be a servant leader.

The Leadership Institute started off with get to know you activities lead by the USC SGA officers that the student leaders can take back to their campuses and implement with their own councils.

To take a break from the rigorous learning that was happening at the S.C.C. Leadership Institute, the participants took a mid-morning break to tour the Anne Frank Center at the University of South Carolina. Many participants commented on how much they enjoyed the tour.

To better understand the S.C.C. awards process, participants participated in a round robin session to search for what should and should not be included in a write up about a particular project that a council does. This session gave leaders, especially new ones a great insight.

To end the S.C.C. Leadership Institute, officers from USC SGA facilitated participant groups in understanding different scenarios of events that they may encounter in their time in office as a leader. We are ready to see the wonderful things that are done in 2024-2025.

Looking forward to seeing all of our Advisors and Presidents tomorrow at the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Student Council Coalition hosted by Irmo High School Student Council.

At the annual meeting of the Student Council Coalition at Irmo High School, the member institutions voted to welcome Pelion and Spring Hill Student Councils as the eighth and ninth members of the SCC. This is the third expansion to take place since the founding of the SCC.

HAPPY 8th ANNIVERSARY TO THE S.C.C.

It was a hard decision for our judges as we had some great entries, but we would like to unveil the 2025 SCC Exchange program cover design contest winner. Congratulations to Anna Grace Newell of White Knoll High School for their winning entry.

We are one month away from the start of the 2025 S.C.C. Exchange. Looking forward welcoming eight of the nine member institutions once again to the beautiful Newberry College campus and the City of Newberry, South Carolina.

We are 24 hours out from the start of the 2025 SCC Exchange. The programs have been printed, the participant bags have been packed, the opening video has been edited to include our two new member institutions. We are ready for our delegates to arrive at Newberry College.
