i went to court 2 weeks ago as the victim of sexual assault and my barrister told me that even if jury’s believe the defendant is guilty, they often get acquitted because the jury feel guilty about “ruining” a young man’s life. it’s all absolutely fucked

Please can someone explain to me how, in civilised society, we’ve reached a point where calling for a ceasefire for two countries to stop fighting, is deemed “woke bullshit”? Whilst there’s no doubt conflict is complicated, surely “stop killing each other” is a desired outcome?

I know I sound like a grump but I don’t think professional singers who are already in famous bands should be on the #TheVoiceUK. No issues with folk who are already vocalists etc, just when they’re already famous.

One of the things that set #TheVoiceUK apart from shows like the X Factor was that it was all based on “the voice”. When did back stories and clearly pre scouted artists sneak back in?
