Perhaps two unpopular opinions/hot takes: 1) Trump's political instincts are much better than Obama's in the post-2016 world 2) we've largely memory-holed that political & economic circumstances aligned well for Obama's wins in 2008/12 so we largely overestimate Obama's instincts
