Our report on long-term COVID recoveries is live: bit.ly/bp-covid-surve… I'm damn proud of this work. We made this with covid brains, dealing with fevers & fatigue, between trips to urgent care & doctors. We learned things we haven't seen in the news yet. Please share!

I believe this is the first time the phrase "Stay the F*?! Home" has been published in an academic, peer-reviewed journal. Our work here is done, Dr. Aranoff-Spencer. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11…

This should be standard on Canadian shell/terminal windows. I propose a few additions: ", eh?" after the system prompts the user. "Thank you" as an alias for "Y". "bad command or filename" (etc) adjusts to "that wasn't polite there bud"

Just a reminder #ItsOkayToNotBeOkay I think of the crisis like a methanol fire. Invisible. But burning bright. It feels like it shouldn't burn us since we have trouble seeing flames. But it does. And that's ok. Wanna be a hero? Watch your space. Wash your hands. Wear a mask.

Gojira continues to be top of my list for "you're trapped on an island what do you bring" music. #metal youtube.com/watch?v=iqrMFN…

I think a cricket somehow made it into my basement. My morning has been filled with the dulcet tones of Crick Kitt, master of stridulation and exoskeleton rhythm over HVAC. Oddly enough, he's reducing my stress levels. It feels like I'm in the woods. At my kitchen table.

I've been replacing my favorite expletives with "2020". It's hilariously effective. "What the 2020 just happened?" "The 2020 is that?" "Oh 2020! Get to the chopper!"

If you missed it live, here’s your chance to catch it now. Trust me - you will learn important things. As a public servant but more importantly as a human being.

Today I learned Nasturtium flowers bring hummingbirds to the yard. My favorite earthling with wings. I am overjoyed we overplanted.

It's been 6380 hours of sailing in rough seas. Ottawa Public Health continues to be a shining compass. Thank you folks. I've got a big smile on behind my mask (that covers my nose)
