Tracy isn't on twitter anymore, but I got her permission to post on her behalf. Tracy was unfortunately impacted by the Riot layoffs. If you are looking for a seasoned Producer who has worked on a multitude of products at Blizzard and Riot, reach out: linkedin.com/in/tracy-kenne…

If Overwatch development slows again because of the layoffs, I do not want to see a single soul complaining at the devs. Not a single one. Direct your disappointment to the greedy higher ups that get to live without fear of losing their jobs

It's incredible to me that there were people out there rooting for this merger because they thought it would somehow "benefit" workers and gamers. Mergers destroy jobs, ruin lives, reduce consumer choice, and make our economy less free and less fair. Always.

Unfortunately, the Survival project I was producing for at Blizzard was cancelled and I am a part of the layoffs. I genuinely hope my coworkers, and other folks impacted today land on their feet soon. I really wish that you all got to see what we were making.

To those impacted by layoffs, check out the art and animation job google doc. It's a very active collection of job postings in our industry. I hope this helps. I'm sorry you've been hit so hard <3 docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

Remember that, in California, even if you get severance, you can still receive unemployment. Severance is what's owed to you in lieu of a stable job, but unemployment is yours as soon as you lose your job. You paid CA's high taxes for this safety net, use it. #GameDev #Layoffs

After the 2018 layoffs they said that was it. When they restructured APAC in 2020 they said that was it. After this they will say “that’s it.” Don’t believe them. And don’t give them a minute or a dollar more than they deserve.

Blizzard telling people they can no longer work from home and forcing them to move to California, to one of the most expensive areas in the US, just to lay them off is really the epitome of corporate evil

I feel like this just really. Really. Shows who he really is. Don't let this be forgotten, that this is how a leader exited the company, while so many of his employees are crying and broken and scared. Fuck off, Mike.

“Impacted.” “Affected.” “Land on your feet.” “Next adventure.” These have become the stanzas of a dirge this bloody industry plays far too often. An expanding library of trigger words that we shouldn’t have to say. It isn’t fair. It isn’t right.

Yeh it's been tough, just going to travel the world with the fam then settle back into some hyper-growth opportunities. Hope you peasants are all g at the bottom without your jobs. Tone-deaf dickhead. #OneOfUs

Evening all. Unfortunately my role at Activision Blizzard is likely to be impacted alongside other members of our team, but I'll still be around for a bit while options are explored. In the meantime if anyone knows of any CM roles available I'd be keen to take a look. Cheers! 💙

insider-gaming.com/sledgehammer-g… Sledgehammer Games is going back to remote work as they find a new office, a move many employees have called a "slap in the face" after many workers have been forced to quit due to Return to Office mandates.

I want to shout out to my amazing team who worked on Cosmic Crisis for season 9. So many people who worked on it were part of the layoffs, but I’m so dang proud of em.

so, enough time has passed now for me to talk about why i decided to leave Blizzard. a mixed year with great teammates, but a management that mistreated, lied to me, gaslit me, gave me a fake promotion, and HR that refused to help. buckle up friendos. 💪
