We cannot act like we have infinite capacity and resources--always launching and adding. There is a time to launch and to plant new seeds, but after we first prune what remains from our last harvest. vimeo.com/518247654

One of the easiest traps to fall into is either/or thinking. We can either protect public health, or the economy. We can either keep tuition low, or we can attract top-notch talent to the local university... linkedin.com/posts/kristen-…

#Innovation does not occur when you are unconstrained--when you have endless time, endless resources, endless capacity. Innovation is when you are constrained, and still have to get a breakthrough. vimeo.com/525041582

We are quick to launch the new and exciting project or initiative, but reluctant to get out the gloves and the bucket to pull weeds or rake up the brittle leaves. Our current initiatives are building up overhead that we need to clean out before we launch something new.

I hope you can join me next Wednesday for my important discussion with Dr. Chris Strear on how he has and continues to apply #TOC to his #hospital and why TOC works so well in #healthcare.

Lack of #clarity is a death knell for organizations. Using vague language keeps us off the hook and blocks us from solving real #problems and achieving real #results.  It may make us feel good, but we’re left not knowing, specifically, just what it is we're trying to accomplish.
