I wish that people who've only known me after my disabilities kicked in hardcore could know just how *capable* I used to be.

#NaNoWriMo, the disgraced "write a novel in a month" platform that got exposed for alleged grooming, has now fully embraced using AI to write, even going as far to post an overly aggressive FAQ about it. Apparently it's ableist AND classist to be against AI. #WritingCommunity

So basically #nanowrimo ignored a mod abusing teenagers. Ignored that a mod might be grooming teenagers. And is now saying that to be against AI for writing is inherently classist and ableist. ...Why do people still want to use NaNo?

OUCH. This one... hurts. A concerned user got a response from Scrivener. They have no plans to withdraw their sponsorship for #NaNoWriMo, even going as far to defend them. Note the font difference in the last paragraph - it's a copy-paste from another document.

Hey #NaNoWriMo (NaNoWriNO) The issue is not just that you said you would allow the use of AI and didn't clarify whether or not you meant generative AI. The issue is that you decided to use poor and/or disabled writers as your shield from cricism. And you have yet to apologize.
