@ProfessorBurgos Cookie Monster I understand what you're pointing out. Yes, the real world needs to come to Sesame Street. But that doesn't mean that The Muppet characters need to react in a real-world way.  The Muppet characters' reactions need to rise from their own naive and pure world.

Regarding the election: Jim Henson's Muppet characters were of all different species & sizes & shapes & colors. They lived different lives and their personalities often clashed. Yet, they eventually accepted each other's  flaws as they worked together for the good of the show.
