I am very happy to share that our work demonstrating that without Sst-Inhibitory interneurons many L4 excitatory projecting neurons mature as callosal neurons is out. It was a great collaboration with Felix Leroy and G. Perea lab. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Extremely excited to share our review on mature myelin dynamics out today! Ethan Hughes and I discuss myelin remodeling and turnover, mechanisms and functional implications. I hope folks will enjoy diving into this fascinating emerging field with us! nature.com/articles/s4159…

Very cool paper! Congrats Borrell Lab

I am super excited to share our paper published today in Nature Communications! Have you heard about heart-brain axis? Here we asked why heart defects are prevalent in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as the rare KBG syndrome. rdcu.be/dMm5w 1/9

Gonçalo GonçaloCasteloBranco and I are so excited to share our work on mapping spatial dynamics of brain development & neuroinflammation! 🤩🤩🤩Kudos to amazing postdocs Di Zhang and Leslie Kirby! 👍👍👍 Yale Engineering Karolinska Institutet biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

I am thrilled and honored to receive this Javits Award from NINDS, and incredibly grateful to all past and present members of my lab, as well as my mentors and colleagues in the field! DukeMGM Duke Neurobiology Duke Department of Cell Biology #radialglia

It begins today! Excited to start welcoming over 5,500 attendees to #2024NDiSTEM, kicking off a week of learning, mentorship, and community building. #Science #Culture #Community Learn more about SACNAS in this recent piece shared with Diversity In Action: mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?m…

🚨 The lab's first preprint is out! Led by rockstar graduate student Lauryn Higginson, we present the first cell-specific transcriptome analysis of the RNA exosome, a conserved RNase, in a fully developed Drosophila brain! #RNABiology #Neuroscience 🪰🧠 🧵 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited to share our work published this week! Led by myself and world class co-first Gustavo Della Flora Nunes working in the Ethan Hughes in collaboration with Dan Denman: nature.com/articles/s4146…. A short 🧵

BRAIN EVODEVO ALERT! So thrilled to share our newest articles about brain evolution, published by Science Magazine! Briefly, we have found that pallial circuits are formed by different developmental programs and comprise different neurons. Not all brains are the same!
