Boston and New York have been at the forefront of conversations surrounding Ben Simmons. After the Celtics just signed Chris Boucher, it appears as if the Knicks are the favorites to bring in Simmons on a minimum contract.

Apparently the Knicks are now the front runners for Ben Simmons? I can’t say I like the fit on either end. We’ll see how this plays out, I guess. At the end of the day, I trust this front office and don’t need to be right.

Mike Weinar was in discussions with the Knicks for the top assistant job but removed himself from consideration, the Post has learned. Heard there were family considerations and he’s been with Rick Carlisle for a long time. Chris Jent is a candidate, as Frank Isola reported.

Ben Simmons would be one of the Knicks best rebounders, passers and defenders walking in the door... I think the problem with fans is they only see him as a point guard... if he signs with us, He'd have to take on a more 4/3 point of attack with the Knicks... I think that works
