No. They are by and large a sincere, pre-irony society. They speak in honest and florid ways to express their feelings and have no conception we might laugh at this.

28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE will release in theaters in 28 weeks. It's already been filmed. Here's everything we know: bloody-disgusting.com/movie/3885273/…

I honestly do wonder if there is a palpable anxiety in the studios and surrounding ecosystem about auteurism, when it’s very evident to any casual observer that this is really the only sustainable way out of this wasteland of their own making.

This series has proven to be pretty much negative review proof. The last one was critically panned and it still made a billion dollars (and it was absolute dog shit). These are family films at this point. Wholly review proof from a financial standpoint.

The game has changed. It's not the same. Personally, I feel like this is gaslighting. Sometimes the reaction to the modern diversity philosophy goes far and/or is a little misdirected but the reaction is as authentic as the trends.

The first movie felt a little light for a horror movie. I don't know how else to describe it. Additionally, there were not many other aspects of the movie that interested me. The decision they made feels inauthentic but it seems "financially responsible".

Millennial Mike W/TheExilesNetwork made a really fascinating point around how this speech is practically re-stating Costner’s speech to Clark from MoS verbatim (“You’re gonna have to decide what man you’re gonna be, Clark”), except it removes all subtlety and nuance. 😭
