Congratulations to Dean Trust Wigan, they have recently been awarded the UNICEF UK Rights Respecting Schools Silver status and the Rainbow Flag award. Tarun Kapur congratulated Sarah Dawson who has been instrumental in securing these two important awards for the school.



Our very own Miss Hicks Forest Gate Academy ran the Manchester Marathon on Sunday. She raised over £900 for cancer research. We are all so proud of you! Well done Miss Hicks. #GoodNewsFriday

Yr 4 children Park View Academy had an exciting trip to Liverpool City Centre this week! They explored the city's stunning architecture and learned about its geography, bringing classroom lessons to life. #GoodNewsFriday

Year 7 pupils Dean Trust Rose Bridge marked #VEDay with a heartfelt celebration alongside residents from a local care home. A moving act of remembrance, Q&A session, singing, and even some dancing brought generations together in a truly special way. #GoodNewsFriday

VE Day has been a focus at Blacklow Brow School this week. EYFS held a “street party” picnic, while the rest of the school explored its importance in assembly and PHSE, reflecting on peace and why, 80 years on, it's still something to be thankful for. #GoodNewsFriday

14 Year 9 pupils from Abraham Moss School joined the Greener Skills Youth Festival with Ahead Partnership. They explored how climate issues will impact jobs of the future, joined workshops with Accenture and TfGM, heard inspiring talks and enjoyed time at Mayfield Park. #GoodNewsFriday

Happy #GoodNewsFriday! Year 4 children Park View Academy had an unforgettable time on their residential trip to Bispham Hall! From team-building adventures to exploring the great outdoors, it’s been an experience full of fun, friendship, and fantastic memories.

In November, we sadly lost our dear colleague Ms Wilson, who served nearly 25 years Forest Gate Academy. To honour her birthday, the school community wore green and enjoyed gardening, one of her favourite hobbies. We’re proud to have raised over £400 for St Ann’s Hospice -Thank you all

Ikrah Dean Trust Ardwick shined at the ETU President’s Cup in Bulgaria, winning her first International Gold after 4 tough fights! Though she narrowly missed World Championships qualification, she has now secured her spot at the Cadet European Championships representing Team GB! #GNF


Hospitality and Catering pupils Dean Trust Wigan took on the Tunnock Tea Cake Challenge! They designed creative dishes thinking about patterns, shapes and presentation using a tea cake as the star ingredient. Prizes are up for grabs, with winners announced after half term. #GNF
