Johnny Green died today. If you know The Clash and you’ve seen Rude Boy - you know Johnny Green. I met him in Dublin in 2017 and he was a gent. I know he’s getting the gaffer tape up in heaven. (That’s a Clash bootleg-based inside joke).

A performance in which the late, very great Clem Burke—resplendent in a golden suit—plays lead drums. What a hero. Blondie Apollo Theatre "Dreaming" 1979 youtu.be/rl3iaTUQQvY?si… via YouTube

Hillsborough. Younger fans who grew up with all-seaters & good crowd control need to understand that the tragedy resonates because anyone who went to games back then (especially away games) know it could so easily have been them. Any ground, any week. So many near misses. #JFT97

Such sad news about thealarm.com’s Mike Peters today. I had the honour of playing on stage with him, and he met my family many times, but that’s not my favourite story about Mike... See below.

To everyone up for Pope- just relax and try enjoy it. It's not the end of the world if you don't get it. I remember being up for Pope in 2005. Didn't get it, 20 years later I've never been happier. What's for you won't pass you
