Prepping our upcoming full road test on the Alpine Cars A110 R, I notice that the lightweighting process extended to the removal of the passenger airbag. Car has racing harnesses, of course. Even so, I don't remember that one getting a mention in the press pack! Ride, anyone?😀

Digital tech fails in cars episode 1543: the Audi Q8 E-tron’s camera door mirrors. When they working well, they’re ok - if short on adjustment range. When they’re not (they mist up, dont like direct sunlight, etc), this is how much you can see out of them. Option price: £1750 🤦‍♂️

Nicked an idea from Jonny Smith for this Subaru Crosstrek review; and he’s bang on. Hybrids like this deffo need engine-off, electric running modes to get you through deeper standing water. The Crosstrek hasn’t got one - but it’d be a top-class winter hack shorturl.at/ciqx1
