I wish GA wasn’t ok with such an average performance today. I wish he’d say that he expected more from the starting 11 and they let him and the fans down and that he has players who’d give their eye teeth to be in that starting 11 who are on the bench or in the stands. He won’t

Managed to make it to VP just before half time after my 2 weeks in Canada. Thanks to everyone that bought a copy of CG244 from me today. Copies ordered via the web site in the past fortnight will be posted out on Monday.

Save the date #Bantams fans! 🗓️ Fri 13th Dec 📍 Midland Hotel 🎫 £45 We’re excited to confirm details of our Christmas lunch which will no doubt be a sell out again as we recount “Tales from the Wembley dressing room!” 🏟️ Think Des Hamilton’s pile driver in 1996 or James

Excellent summary and spot on with his assessment of Odour. He does work hard but is so easily dispossessed that he was the weak link last night. No surprise that City played better and won the game when both he and Kavanagh were replaced by Pointon and Smith.

I’m shocked by this news as I wasn’t aware that Dave was seriously ill. A true City Gent and a supporter of the fanzine. Dave was the goalie when we took part in a halftime penalty contest in January 1991. My thoughts to out to his friends and family who will miss him the most

Editorial finished for CG245 today and the next issue goes to print in a couple of days. It won’t be ready to sell at VP next Saturday but we should be ok for Saturday 26th at the Doncaster home game instead. CG245 comes out exactly 40 years after issue CG1 went on sale.

It’ll be interesting to see who will be there this evening. No invite for me, not that I could have gone anyway as I’ve had a minor operation this morning. All gone well btw.

I write to RS each time I send him a copy of the latest issue. Not heard back from him recently, so I have to assume that he is taking Sportswear Dave’s gentle humour about his “secret diary” in good spirit? If not, I would have expected him to let me know.

No idea who has been invited to attend this evening, so I guess that we all tune into BBC2 at 7pm to find out. All is good, back home now and resting

Congrats on the new job, you’ll be missed at VP, but onwards and upwards and avfc is certainly a team on the up at the moment and should be a great opportunity for you, all the best for the future.

Well, it is as Stuart rightfully said, 2016 again but in reverse! Aldershot Town at home on November 3rd. Here’s hoping for dry weather this time round!
