Saying "coding is dead" is missing the point. Coding isn’t just about creating code, it’s also a way of thinking. It teaches us structure, systems thinking, trade-offs, abstractions and problem decomposition. These are worthwhile skills in their own right.

It seems when most people say they are vibe coding, they are really just using code assistants/LLMs but still checking/fixing AI outputs themselves. I’m not complaining, I think that’s how you should use LLMs for software engineering, for now at least.
