Told this photo is of the business community that has come out to protect their businesses from the Roaming night goons!

Verifying with multiple sources videos in my possession that the Family Bank Ruiru ATM was broken into this night.

For Ruiru Level 4 Sub-County Hospital, the night handlers have confirmed that everything is intact, all patients are safe, & there has been no attack on the facility. The call center has clarified that the unverified reports of vandalism do not involve the sub-county hospital.

There is an ongoing, fierce digital information war between the state and the people. A battle over who controls what information the population feeds. The state is determined to maintain control but faces an uphill task.

Confirmed that everything in Ruiru town, from shop looting to reported goons, happened between 7pm and 10pm. Thereafter the situation was calmed down! Nothing verifiable has been reported later in the night.

While an incident was reported in Ruiru between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., some accounts have been spreading misleading information about things that happened. Many of these accounts are faceless and bot-like.

About Ruiru; The town is fully calm from 9:30pm. various people I have interviewed this night for The Brief Channel confirm indeed a group of alleged "goons" were seen dropped off in the town , causing an evening panic and people frightened closing shops.

The said "goons" were dispersed by police with gunshot sounds heard in the evening. However there is no visible successful break into shops as police are said to have intervened in advance. Several people say the group of those people scattered into different directions.

These two accounts have run a very high profile digital misinformation about Ruiru and what transpired with two tweets each !
