gifted & talented children go through the 1st part of life in easy mode & then start experimenting with alcohol, drugs, & just dumb bad habits because we feel like the settings are on medium/hard that way, but then we never remember to remove those obstacles

98% of the posts on here about kids’ gifted programs, whether pro or con, are just excuses for the author to mention that they were in a gifted program like I was

Daniel 🦔 This is common. Gifted students often graduate high school without developing any study skills. Then, in college, they have the same emotional trauma that normals work through studying fractions in third grade without any of the associated support system and end up bailing out.
