I echo Tom Parfitt sentiments - it was lovely to hear engaging insights from people who are passionate about ideas and experiences. Thank you Robert Ashton for organising the event, Halesworth Bookshop from Halesworth Bookshop and all the volunteers who helped make it a great day.

'The Flower and the Wheel' was described by Richard Hawking at #Leiston #Book #Festival as 'Adrian Bell's manifesto', so I just had to buy a copy, which arrived today. Next week's read.

Published today! The final volume of Adrian Bell’s A Countryman Notebook Quartet marks the end of a 5 year project in which I’ve had the pleasure to work with Slightly Foxed | Magazine, Small Press, Podcast to bring these beautiful essays-hidden away in the archives of the Eastern Daily Press-to a new audience.

We're off! I wonder who will be first to pre-order their copy & see their name listed in the back of my next book? Please share widely Patrick Galbraith Miles Harvey Richard Hawking Tom Parfitt Dr Jerry Harrall Elizabeth (Biddy) Briggs Richard Negus

To celebrate the publication of A Countryman's Autumn Notebook, a specially arranged song cycle of extracts from all four of Slightly Foxed | Magazine, Small Press, Podcast's volumes will be performed in the beautiful Cart House at The Fold - a organic farm in Worcestershire. Please DM me to reserve seats.

Robert Ashton Richard Hawking Of the four seasonal volumes I have to say this is my favourite. It encapsulates all that is glorious about autumn beautifully.
