Love my Baptist friends, but their claim that the first three centuries or so of Church History is on their side is wrong. Even if one said that regular infant Baptism was a development post Augustine, that fails to recognize the significance of the fact that Tertullian took it

St. Thomas' view of justification was as far from Luther's as the east is from the west. St. John Chrysostom obviously views faith as dogmatic faith rather than fiduciary in his interpreation of Rom. 1 when you read his homilies. Please pick up and read a book, guys...
