Jeff Gluck The driver doesn't factor in. It's the idea of how dismissive they were/are to a driver (former or current) who has an opinion that doesn't align with their/Nascar's ideas. It's this idea that no one is allowed to have a valid opinion unless it is pre-approved by Nascar and

I am so tired of NASCAR and NASCAR media falling back on "the old people want to go back to blah" Jordan Bianchi, I am less than 30 and playoffs suck. It's not just old people, young people aren't interested in the new gimmicks either! It DOES NOT "bode well".

From Mark Martin: “The #nascar playoffs is an 80/20 issue. I know it for a fact.” Claims only 20% of the people who watch want any type of postseason system. “After a while, it becomes manufactured drama. It’s a total difference and race fans can see it.”

If 60% of the fanbase says they would prefer a season-long point format, as a broadcasting partner, I’d take that as a sign that maybe I should listen to @MarkMartin and others and change this. NASCAR rose as far as it did by not being like the other sports.

Jeff Gluck After reading this and seeing the article about hiring a firm to get blue collar fans back I’m beginning to believe NASCAR leadership is either weak or incompetent. Fans tell what they want. They have to be strong enough to tell owners and TV that the fans are the boss.

Every other sentence on today’s broadcast has been Playoff and championship. Damn cover the race a little bit. We are watching a race too.

We are saddened by the passing of Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13 and a four-time spaceflight veteran. Lovell's life and work inspired millions. His courage under pressure helped forge our path to the Moon and beyond—a journey that continues today. go.nasa.gov/41tbrpq

This one’s for Dad! Bobby Allison gave the command to start engines via phone before the race at Richmond Raceway. Davey Allison went out and captured the checkered flag. It was the first race on Richmond’s new layout.

Why were we racing so hard when all you had to do we ride around and run 7th all the time and win the championship? Wins don’t matter they say.

Fans are tired of the playoffs, tired of the gimmicks, tired of the car. They are tired of voicing their frustrations and being told by NASCAR and it’s paid media that their opinions are wrong. So, here we are. They just stop watching. But we’ll blame it on the heat, blame it

Im listening to DJD and jr mentioned he wishes there was a poll back then to see if fans preferred season long points or wanted playoffs well jr there was! NASCAR website and other websites asked. Fans, driver's and owners were against having a playoffs but we got ignored anyway

Looking at how much money NASCAR is getting from tv you can say they’re doing quite well. But it is somewhat disturbing to see all the complaints here on X and the grandstands covered with sponsors’ logos on them instead of fans filling those seats. It’s a weird time.
