I'm glad we're finally starting to see some liquidity in the ICE shape products for ERCOT but can someone please explain why HE 7-9 and HE 10-17 are 7x products but HE 18-22 is a 5x product?

ERCOT already discussing the potential for a "Down RRS" to prepare for large load trips. Next an AS for intertia? Voltage support? What's the appropriate percentage of generation to not be providing AS? 2%? 3%?

All loads are “flexible” at the right price The firm nature generally comes from the fact most loads are *dramatically* more valuable than avoided energy costs If your load is flexible it tends to mean it’s not very productive

There's essentially no reason to continue subsidizing wind and solar. The point of subsidizing new tech it to help it down the cost curve as it scales, and renewables have long since reached that point
