The #GoatTeam had a blast today checking the progress of our radish plants! Soon we will compare our data and draw conclusions about the impact the independent variable had on our plants! #WeAreEmerson #engageD64

Today we are learning about the Carbon Cycle by pretending to be Carbon molecules moving through abiotic and biotic places! #GoatTeam #WeAreEmerson #engageD64

Today we are learning about food chains and food webs using pond organisms. A perfect day to also find a damselfly nymph in our pond!! #engageD64 #WeAreEmerson #GoatTeam

Today we started an investigation about human impact. We separated our class ponds into mini ponds and added an independent variable. We will then use our water quality tests to determine the effect these variables have on freshwater ponds. #WeAreEmerson #engageD64 #GoatTeam

Today the #GoatTeam looked at Euglena again, focusing on the specific structures inside. Students were able to see the nucleus, chloroplasts, and eyespot! #WeAreEmerson #engageD64

It's been a difficult Monday. I'm missing my students and unsure of what is to come, but thankful Scientist Zukas and I had some collaboration time today to plan some engaging E-learning activities for our students. #BeSafeEmerson I'll be missing the #GoatTeam this week! ๐Ÿ’“

Success! I just had my first Google Hangout with each of my classes. I'm proud to say that the #GoatTeam has been working hard on their Genetics unit and meeting their Remote Learning deadlines! #engageD64 #WeAreEmerson

This year will be different, but it can still be great! Are you ready #GoatTeam? I've got science bags heading your way soon! Let's do this! #WeAreEmerson

One of the best ways to introduce a unit is to have students see different phenomena related to the content they are about to learn. This "beads in a bottle" is one of my favorites! #GoatTeam #WeAreEmerson #engageD64

Experiment time! The #GoatTeam is testing out different liquids to see how they react with our steel nails. Each student will be testing 2 different liquids at home and I cannot wait to see their results! #engageD64 #WeAreEmerson

The #GoatTeam is finishing up our experiments today... check out some of these changes! Now we will learn more about why this happened and why water was so quick to react! #engageD64 #WeAreEmerson

Success! Utilized my phone today as a document camera so students were able to observe different powders reacting with water, vinegar, and iodine. Great job #GoatTeam! Next up we'll use this data to identify a mystery combination! #WeAreEmerson #engageD64
