The reception featured cultural exchanges, including a presentation by Taiwanese author Yang Shuang-zi and an art display by Houston artist GONZO247. Guests also received mooncakes in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival!

🇹🇼 For the first time, Taiwan’s Rep. to the U.S., Amb. Alexander Yui & Mrs. Yui joined the Taiwanese community in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex area to co-host the 114th National Day flag-raising!

Hundreds of participants proudly sang the national anthem, showing their unity and love for Taiwan.

DG Yvonne Hsiao was delighted to call on state leaders in Louisiana including Senate President J. Cameron Henry, Jr., House Speaker Phillip DeVillier, as well as Secretary of State Nancy Landry to discuss opportunities for future cooperation between Taiwan and the Pelican State!

It is always a pleasure to visit Louisiana! We thank our local true friends of Taiwan for putting things together! We hope to visit again soon and continue to find ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and exchanges between Taiwan and Louisiana.

As we celebrate the 114th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) on October 10, we are deeply moved and grateful for the warm congratulations and steadfast support from our American friends across all levels of government.

We are especially touched that both Arkansas and Mississippi have officially proclaimed October 10 as “Taiwan Friendship Day,” symbolizing the enduring bond between Taiwan and the southern United States.

DG Yvonne Hsiao is pleased to see the connections blossom into Rice after launching the Huayu Best Program. 12 Rice students studied Mandarin in Taiwan this summer and came back to campus with wonderful experiences.
