My job is making me hate my career choice. I’m a counselor for 6-12. I have subbed 35 classes already. How do I do my job when I’m subbing every day. There have been college days where I could have come back early to work, but didn’t because I would just have to cover a class.

I have a student who is “difficult,” but for some reason I have become her person. She comes to my office almost daily to tell me she doesn’t want to be here, and I smile and tell her how happy I am that she’s here. It’s hard to love on some kids, but they probably need it most.
