Changing the program already due to the heat, we have had a relaxed day out to Porthmadog. Cadets wound down enjoying the local beach. Looking forward to getting back to the program tomorrow! @KingsWoolston King's Leadership Academy Liverpool King's Leadership Academy Hawthornes Great Schools Trust #onetrust #ATEX pic.x.com/hUCmLr2ayQ

Yesterday saw cadets participating in challenging activities, arduous at times, requiring courage, determination and self-discipline to succeed. Lots of smiling faces keeping cool underground. #onetrust #ATEX

AT activities also develop physical and mental robustness whilst exposing our cadets to controlled risk, enabling them to develop risk management strategies and creating independent and responsible people. Archery and Fforest Coaster today!

Yesterday saw cadets tackle their fears out on the crag. AT activities offer an outlet for physical energy and opportunities for teamwork. In this environment cadets take ownership of each other's risk, building trust and developing leadership. Lots of endeavour from all!

Adventure Training is, put simply, the process of learning through adventure-focused experiences. Adventure and challenge often go hand in hand and nothing builds confidence—not to mention a pretty awesome sense of accomplishment.

Cadets from KLA Hawthornes undertook training in Basic Fieldcraft Skills earlier this week. Fieldcraft training is an excellent way of developing character and learning how to function as a member of a team.

Great couple of days with colleague's from HQAC TDT at RAF Cosford. Discussing the hot topics of the moment and conducting reflective practice into this year's output. Lots of exciting things ahead in 2023!

Congratulations to the 30 CFAVs & SIs who have completed the SA (M) (07) Cadet course at CTC Frimley Park. The aim of the course is to study practical leadership and the planning and conduct of safe training involving blank ammunition and pyrotechnics.

Last weekend, 20 Cadets attended a Blue Foundation Fieldcraft Course at 1913 (Knotty Ash) Sqn with 3 Adult Staff & a Junior Leader Staff Cadet teaching the Cadets basic Fieldcraft Skills, with many now eager to move onto the bronze course & put what they’ve learnt into practice.
