The Soros Arts Fellowship is the largest project of socially engaged art in the world. From Palestine to the Philippines to Guinea, the 2023 Soros Arts Fellows are seizing opportunities for healing through art and developing innovative and inspiring solutions.

I am so proud to share the launch of the 2023 Soros Arts Fellowship: Art, Land, & Public Memory. This year we are honored to support 18 visionary artists pursuing ambitious projects at the intersection of art, climate, land, environmental justice, public space, and memory.

“It’s about creating spaces of possibilities.” Since 2018, the Soros Arts Fellows have been doing just that—dreaming and scaling more community building, challenging power, and inspiring change with their art. These changes include raising funds for Indigenous land back
