To all Y6 teachers. You tried your hardest. They tried their hardest. If they are anywhere near the expected standard when they’ve not had a normal year since Y3 then that’s amazing. They’ll use it against us whatever so just put them in an drawer and get on with life.

Girls are achieving more highly at school than boys. Ok. A thought or two. A girl aged 16 wakes up. She checks Instagram where she is bombarded with sexualised images of young women. She is encouraged to mimic this sexualised idea of female perfection and she sets to work.
