Productive day out on the boat on Friday refining our coring methodology for surveying sediment carbon across gradients of human disturbance as part of the Convex Seascape Survey Survey 🗺️🛥️

Breaking news in Frontiers - Marine Science on carbon released to the atmosphere by trawling and dredging. Our work as part of the Convex Seascape Survey Survey will further quantify carbon stored in our continental shelf seas and the role of ecological communities in burying and suspending it 🪱

Check out our new Convex Seascape Survey YouTube here: youtube.com/@ConvexSeascap… 🩵 Be sure to catch our new Isle of Arran short film by the brilliant @mattjarvismedia on behalf of Blue Marine Foundation 🩵🪱

Last weekend's mixture of Convex HQ Kids Outreach ft. incredible materials by Encounter Edu, a wholesome trip to Natural History Museum with Mara Fischer, and a two day Convex Seascape Survey conference in Windsor. Great to learn from colleagues and remember the context of it all!

Feeling thankful for being part of such a groundbreaking #BlueCarbon project - The #ConvexSeascapeSurvey! Had such a great time last week finding out what everyone has been up to and exciting to think about where it is going! ConvexIn Convex Seascape Survey Blue Marine Foundation @ExeterMarine

We’re back at @FSC_Millport for 🎬2 of the Great British Bioturbationathon as part of Convex Seascape Survey. Soon, we’re heading out on the Actinia to grab our bioturbation stars. This year, we’re using C13 enhanced algae to trace the distribution of organic matter in the sediment 🌟

Finally published my MSc project - "Scuba diving pressure is not responsible for decadal coral decline in the Bonaire National Marine Park" - with Callum Roberts, Julie Hawkins and Sofia Castelló y Tickell! ✨ Have a read of the full article here: lnkd.in/e68h-S6j 😊

In early June, I attended my first major marine conferences - One Ocean Science Congress and the 3rd UN Ocean Conference, both in Nice. Alongside colleagues from Convex Seascape Survey, I co-presented findings from the Isle of Arran, soon to be released as a paper 🤫 #unoceandecade

After Ocean Science Congress & UNOC3 in Nice, Ben and I reflected on 2 weeks of science, politics & big contrasts 👉 sites.exeter.ac.uk/exetermarine/2… #unoceandecade #sdg14 #marinebiology #oceanpolicy #sciencecommunication #convexseascapesurvey Blue Marine Foundation
