There’s no such thing as work/life balance, but there is a work/life rhythm. That work/life rhythm is different for everybody and changes throughout seasons of the year and throughout life. Find the work/life rhythm that works for you and your family.

Some students come to school with a lot on them. Trauma, life, and just trying to figure out how to grow up. Some days just surviving the day is a victory for them, just like some days it is for adults. Relationship before rigor.

We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. They get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests except for PISA in HS and they outperform us every time. When we can’t give students more recess, physical activity & Arts then we don’t understand education.

It is OKAY not to be okay. We encourage all students to connect with trusted adults at school for support.
