Thank you Silvia Mihaila for inviting me to give a lecture about my research to pharmacology students at Utrecht University. It was a wonderful experience and a great opportunity to show new generations the importance of in vitro models and personalized medicine :)

Science cafe in UMCG Genetica: Friday evening, pizza, bier, and exciting stories - perfect combination. Many thanks to PhD students who organize these events.

And we have two posters on the Liver-on-Chip systems we’re working on: iPSC derived liver-chip for drug metabolism by Isabel Tamargo Rubio (and MSc student Bella Simpson). And the second poster on an NAFLD Model-on-chip by Victoria Palasantzas

Day one of the #MPS2023 marked the importance of defining #MPS where engineering meets tissue culture. Very impressive and exciting kick-off keynote by Matthias Lutolf

Come visit Victoria Palasantzas poster at the #MPS2023Berlin from 10:00-11:30!! Board #109 We will be discussed her latest results on our NASH-on-chip project.

Interested in everything (iPSC derived) intestine-on-chip and adding autologous tissue resident T cells cells? Dont miss our talks today at 14.30 Salon 16 and 15.20 in Hall Berlin A! #MPS2023 Renée Moerkens

Last week was a week full of great science and great people at the MPS World Summit 2023 conference! My highlight was presenting my work on an iPSC-derived Intestine-Chip system and sharing this moment with Joram Mooiweer, who presented his work on organoid-T cell co-cultures.

Proud of the team in our department under leadership of Lude Franke Jackie Dekens @P_Lanting @JelleSlager who have invested so much to make this possible! UMCG Genetica

In a recent article in Frontiers - Pharmacology and Toxicology, authors reviewed ways to improve CYP450 expression in hiPSC-based liver-on-a-chip systems for drug-metabolism studies and toxicity analysis.
